How much GTA 6 costs in New Zealand

On the local storefront, the Standard Edition is $139.95 and the Ultimate Edition is $174.95. The $35 difference buys cosmetic and convenience content for the single-player campaign — what is actually in each edition goes through it item by item.

Prices vary sharply by country: South Korea is the cheapest major market at about $58 equivalent and Israel the most expensive at over $100, a spread of roughly 84 percent for identical files. If you are working out the total damage including a console, what it actually costs to play GTA 6 adds up every part of it.

Pre-load opens a week earlier

Digital pre-orders in New Zealand can start downloading at Thu, 12 Nov 2026, 12:00 am GMT+13, on the same regional schedule as the unlock itself. Worth doing on the day rather than on the 18th: it is a 150 GB-plus download, and everyone in your region starts pulling it at the same moment.

Where this sits in the worldwide rollout

New Zealand is in the very first wave — nowhere on earth gets GTA 6 before it. The whole rollout runs about nineteen hours from New Zealand to Mexico.

Unlocks after: Australia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, India, United Arab Emirates.

The full unlock table for every region has the rest, and is GTA 6 out yet answers the short version.

Find people in New Zealand to play with

GTA 6 launches single-player only, so there is nothing to matchmake into on night one — but when an online mode arrives, the people with a crew already sorted are not the ones starting from zero. The GTA 6 crew finder filters by platform, region and playstyle, so you can line up players in your own timezone rather than ones who are asleep when you play.
